Google Cloud launches a new AI platform, Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, with Deutsche Bank as an early adopter

Google Cloud has announced Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, a purpose-built agentic AI platform designed for the financial industry. Deutsche Bank is the first bank to adopt the preview version, using the tool in its corporate-banking division.

Launch Details

Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services is a Google-managed research agent that comes with more than 50 foundational skills. The platform is available in preview for capital-markets and corporate-banking professionals. Users can access the research assistant directly through the Gemini Enterprise app or embed it into existing agent workflows via agent-to-agent APIs.

Early Adopters

Deutsche Bank, which has been a design partner on the project, is deploying the agent across its corporate bank division. The bank reports that the tool helps uncover customer needs, recommend relevant products, streamline acquisition processes, and identify market developments. CME Group, an exchange operator, is also using the platform.

Capabilities and Integrations

The agent offers shortcuts for repetitive tasks such as applying brand guidelines, formatting reports, and accessing specific data. It can adapt to a wide range of workflows, including credit-risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, market-news synthesis, and investigative financial research. Google highlights secure integrations with licensed data sources such as CoinDesk Data & Indices, Daloopa, Dun & Bradstreet, FactSet, Finnhub, Fiscal.ai, Guidepoint, LSEG, Moody’s, MSCI, PitchBook, S&P Global, and SEC Edgar.

Industry Impact

According to Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, the platform delivers “agentic capabilities for financial workflows, built with verifiable data explainability, so institutions can turn AI innovation into a confident competitive advantage.” Deutsche Bank’s chief technology, data and innovation officer, Marie-Jeanne Deverdun, says the tool “reduces manual research effort, improves the consistency and auditability of outputs, and gives our teams more time for client conversations.” The platform aims to streamline multi-step, complex operations, improve advisor insights, deepen KYC research, boost portfolio resilience, and uncover credit-market opportunities.

The launch reflects Google Cloud’s focus on providing an AI solution that does not lock financial professionals into a single model or ecosystem, connects to everyday IT systems, and maintains high security and compliance standards.
