Reward has appointed Enrique Del Rio, a former Lloyds Banking Group executive, as its President for the UK and Europe. The customer engagement and commerce media firm, part of Rezolve Ai, made the announcement to strengthen its regional leadership.

Del Rio brings over thirty years of global financial services experience to the role. His career includes a fifteen-year tenure at Lloyds Banking Group in senior leadership positions, along with senior roles at Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank, and Bankers Trust.

Driving commercial growth

In his new position, Del Rio will lead Reward's next phase of commercial expansion. He will focus on the firm's existing partnerships with major UK banks and enhance its activation and intelligence services for retailers and brands. His remit also includes leading Reward's growth in key European markets and developing strategic partnerships, including with Visa.

The goal is to convert the company's data and technology into new opportunities for Reward and its partners. James House, CEO of Reward, stated: "Enrique's appointment is a significant step in our growth across the UK and Europe."

Strengthening the finance media network

The appointment coincides with Reward bolstering its Finance Media Network. This network uses Rezolve Ai's technology to connect banks, retailers, and brands through transaction intelligence and customer engagement. Reward is accelerating the development of new propositions across this network, with Del Rio tasked with driving their commercial success.

House highlighted Del Rio's banking expertise and his record in building commercial relationships. His experience gives him a valuable understanding of what banks need as they seek to create more relevant customer experiences and unlock greater value from data, House said.

Focus on banking partnerships and data

Del Rio expressed his admiration for Reward's market position. Few businesses can match the strength of its banking partnerships, the depth of its transaction intelligence and its ability to connect banks, retailers and brands at scale, he said.

Having spent much of his career in banking, Del Rio stated he understands the commercial opportunity these capabilities create. His focus will be on bringing Reward's innovations to market, deepening strategic partnerships, and building new revenue streams across the UK and Europe.
