Finzly launches AI security layer for banking infrastructure
Finzly launched Assure, an AI security layer for its BankOS platform, in response to an 89% annual rise in AI-enabled attacks on financial firms.
Finzly has introduced a new AI security layer for banks. The company launched Assure today as part of its Agentic Galaxy suite of AI capabilities for its BankOS operating system.
The feature provides integrated security, compliance monitoring, and operational resilience directly within the banking infrastructure. Finzly says this approach avoids the pitfalls of stitching together separate AI solutions after a system is already deployed.
The evolving threat landscape
The launch comes amid a rapidly changing threat environment driven by artificial intelligence. Autonomous AI agents are now executing multi-stage attacks against live banking systems. A recent industry report highlights the scale of the challenge.
According to TrendAI's Modern Bank Heists 2026 report, AI-enabled attacks on financial institutions surged 89% year over year. Also, 67% of institutions reported that attackers actively worked to counter defenders during live security incidents.
"Banking is entering a new era where attacks happen at machine speed, requiring that intelligence, innovation, and trust evolve together," said Booshan Rengachari, founder and CEO of Finzly. He stated that Assure extends the intelligence of the Agentic Galaxy platform into security and resilience.
Core capabilities of the Assure layer
A central component of the new layer is continuous assurance. Finzly argues that banks require evidence their critical controls are functioning, not only trust in their technology vendors. The AI system is designed to monitor signals, spot anomalies, test controls, and identify potential gaps automatically.
For now, a human remains involved in the process as Finzly refines the technology. The company plans to introduce fully automated actions in the future.
The Assure platform offers banks several specific capabilities. These are designed to accelerate threat response and automate compliance.
A defensive AI strategy
Finzly's approach aligns with a growing belief that AI must be used to defend against AI-powered threats. The company's Chief Information Security Officer, Supro Ghose, cited AI security researcher Roman V. Yampolskiy, who wrote that "our best hope to defend against AI-enabled hacking is by using AI."
Ghose stated that Assure reflects a commitment to making security and intelligence foundational parts of the BankOS platform. The goal is to help banks operate with more confidence in a complex digital landscape.
Assure builds on the AI foundation established with Agentic Galaxy, which Finzly launched in October 2025. That suite initially brought AI to payment operations and banking workflows. Since its introduction, the company has expanded agentic AI across various functions within BankOS, including software development, testing, and customer experience management.
